This Saturday was a very emotional day for the Lady Indians Volleyball team. The ladies played 3 matches and in the end, became the Randolph County champions for the first time in 27 years! In the first match, the ladies defeated Union in straight sets, 25-11, 25-13. In the second match, the Lady Indians defeated Randolph Southern in straight sets, 25-21, 25-15, which advanced them to the Championship match against Monroe Central. In a hard-fought battle, the Lady Indians were victorious against the Lady Bears 25-23, 9-25, 25-20 to become the 2019 Randolph County Champions. Stat leaders for the day were Mya Maloy with 23 kills followed by Mariah Claywell with 21, Heidi Livingston with 6 aces and Morgan Wymer with 5, Mya Maloy led the way in blocks with 5 and Emily Livingston had 2, assists were led by Mariah Claywell with 21. Congratulations Lady Indians!!!
