UC Indians Softball splits with Bluffton
Varsity climbed the ladder this week to their first W of the season vs. Bluffton in front of an energetic home crowd! The week started with a discouraging double digit loss at Miss Valley. Adjustments were made, attitudes were changed and the climb began at Union County Thursday where they fell by just four runs. It continued in the first game of today's double header with their first ever lead (5-3) in the 2nd. After entering the 5th inning down just 7-12, they had a rough inning and ended up falling 7-22. But undaunted, the Indians got back up and finished the climb with a comeback 16-14 victory in the second game on 18 hits! Today, they scored the first Home run on the season and laid down a couple great bunts proving they can play long ball or small ball. So much potential here!
