7th Grade Union City Boys Basketball Plays Round Robin
The 7th grade boys played back to back thrillers by keeping you at the edge of your seat games today at Union County. Both games went back and forth in their round robin tournament. The boys first played Tri Jr. High in a highly competitive match. The boys needed to be quick on their feet and work the ball down the court. Several plays brought the fans from both sides to their feet as it was anybody's game. There was little room for error and our boys played extremely well. Our Indians earned a well deserved win over the Titans 36-33. Scoring was Trendon Spence 21, Colton Emrick 7, Jace O'Conner and Luke Collins 3, and Keegan Livingston 2. Cruising right on to the next game, our tired Indians faced the refreshed Union County Patriots. Though the boys hadn't recovered from their first game, they played an incredible game. They played with great determination and skill. Once again, the game was a back and forth battle from start to finish. When the clock came down to the final seconds of the game, the Patriots were able to gain possession of the ball and clenched the game with a score 34-33. Scoring was Trendon Spence 18, Keegan Livingston 7, Jace O'Conner 6, and Luke Collins 2. One of the officials said it best when he stated we saw some really great games today. The coaches and fans are very proud of our team! Way to play through the exhaustion against great competition today boys! The Indians will travel to Fort Recovery on Monday.
