The Indians traveled across the state line Monday to face crosstown rivals, the Mississinewa Valley Blackhawks. The exciting back and forth contest was decided in the last inning, as the Blackhawks capitalized on an error to win in walk off fashion.

Senior Cam Luster pitched an absolute gem for the Indians. Luster started on the hill for UC, going 4 2/3 innings, giving up only 1 earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 11 batters. Sophomore Hunter Reagan took the loss in relief, but also looked good for the Indians. Reagan pitched 1 1/3 innings, giving up only 1 hit.

Jacob Bradbury, (Sr), Jacob Curry, (Sr), Nic Wells, (Jr), and Cole Hughes, (Jr), each had a hit for the Indians.

Union City moves to 1 and 3 on the season, and will be on the road Thursday for a conference game against Tri.
