Indians fall to Panthers, 26-14
Union City stood up against a strong Knightstown team Friday but came out on the short end of a 26-14 Tri-Eastern Conference decision.
The Panthers scored the first two touchdowns of the game, but the host Indians refused to wilt and battled back. It took Knightstown into the fourth quarter before a final touchdown sealed the win.
Mason Good sprinted 43 yards in for a score late in the first period and Akili Roberts added a 1-yard run in the third quarter for Union City, which fell to 1-3 and Knightstown improved to 1-3.
The Indians were led offensively by Josh Crawford, who had 17 carries and rushed for 56 yards. Roberts rushed for 36 yards.
Quaterback Mason Good completed 5 of 15 passes for 43 yards and was picked off on three occasions.
Defensively, Akili Roberts was credited with 4.5 tackles and Tony Calderon had four tackles.
The Indians host Northeastern on Friday for Homecoming.
