JH LADY INDIANS FINISH REGULAR SEASON WITH SWEEP OF BULLDOGS

The 7th and 8th grade Lady Indian basketball teams concluded their regular season play Monday with a sweep of visiting TEC foe Centerville. The 7th grade girls finished their regular season at 16-3 by beating Centerville by a score of 51-11. The 8th Grade Lady Indians in turn won by a score of 35-22 finishing their regular season at 10-8. Both teams now enter their tournament season in County Championship this Saturday February the 4th hosted here by Union City. Tournament play begins at 10:00 AM with our seventh team facing Driver. Union City eighth graders will face Randolph Southern at 11:30 AM. Both teams will start out playing in the Main Gym. See brackets here for the rest of the schedule for Saturday.

The 7th grade looks to cap an extremely successful season with a county championship while the 8th grade looks to defend their championship crown from last season as 7th graders and accomplish a back to back county title not done since this year highly successful junior and senior classes for the State Ranked Varsity Lady Indians did so 5 years ago. Both 7th and 8th grades won county championships at that time back to back during that time period. GBB-8-800x450.jpg
