Trevor Spence Kellie Stephen Randolph County Sportsmanship Award Winner

Trevor Spence Kellie Stephen Randolph County Sportsmanship Award Winner
Trevor Spence of Union City was named the Kellie Stephen Randolph County Sportsmanship Award Winner at the conclusion of the Randolph County Basketball Tourney. Coaches nominate top senior athletes and then after watching the tournament the administration discusses and must choose one to name the best of the best. The men’s award is named for KELLIE STEPHEN who passed away in the fall of 2007. Coaches are asked to nominate a senior who follows in these footsteps. This person must be a team player; a person who may not be the best athlete, not necessarily the leading score or the most talented, but a person who can be counted on to have strong character, be a leader and do the right thing for his team.

Trevor was nominated by Coach Davison and was chosen as this years Kellie Stephen Sportsmanship winner by the administration teams of all the County Schools. Trevor is the son of Tony and Krista Spence.

Quote from Coach Davison about Trevor:
Good sportsmanship encompasses many aspects of the character of Trevor Spence, of which is respect. Trevor consistently demonstrates respect both for his teammates and his opponents by playing with integrity. There is a connection of Trevor’s character off the court and his good sportsmanship on it demonstrated by his determination, skill and hard work. Trevor is a tremendous teammate by his selflessness, respectful, communication, accountability and positive attitude. It is very rewarding to see Trevor recognized as the recipient of the prestigious Kellie Stephens Sportsmanship Award.

Congratulations Trevor Job well done!
